Since my family is Opus Dei... so I went to visit the members of the Work who had passed away and used to live in the house I am staying.
Our first stop was the tumb of Fr Pedro Caciaro... the one who brought Opus Dei to Mexico
In the same place, don Jose Luis Masot is also buried
From there we went to visit Don Manue Garcia Galindo, a numerary who was sick and stayed in
After that we went to visit the one of don Guillermo Porras.. the first Mexican numerary and priest... we pray a part of the Rosary in each tumb....
On our way we found the tumb of a girl I guess.... there were lots of toys and dolls...
I took some photos of the cementery....
At the end we met a family who was going to visit their relatives... I love the little girld dressed like that... In Mexico it seems we make fun of our sister dead....
The best ones are the candies and the altars
The inscription in the altar says...
"Stop wayfarer because you are entering eternity"
We offer:
Flor de Cempasuchil... it means the life of the dead besides God.
Candles ...to light up the way for the souls to reach their homes.
Water...fountain of life, it symbolizes the purity of the soul and it quench the thirst of the diseased.
Incense... keeps away bad spirits and unites heaven and earth.
Bread... it represent the body of the dead, some with the shape of a body, skull....
Food and Drinks.... to feed the diseased.... normally are the meals the person used to like.
Skulls... made of sugar and represent Death
